How to Edit DNS Records in Google Domains

Domain Name System, or DNS, helps visitors to find your site. It acts as a contact list. Humans use domain names, like toplinepro.com, to find sites. Web browsers use internet protocol (IP) addresses, like 192.168.1.1. DNS converts domain names to IP addresses so browsers can load sites.

Read on to learn how to add another DNS record to your site.


1. On Google Domains, click the name of the domain you want to access.

2. Click on "DNS" on the left hand panel.

3. Click on "Manage custom records" to edit.

4. Click on "Create new record" in the bottom left-hand corner.

5. Leave "Host Name" blank. Select "A" for "Type" from the dropdown menu. Leave "TTL" as 3600 and type "185.199.108.153" into "Data." Click "Add more to this record."

6. Type "185.199.109.153" and click "Add more"

10. For the final DNS record, type "www" for Host Name. Select "CNAME" for the type. Type "hellodwelling.github.io." for the Data and click "Save" to confirm.
