Domain Name System, or DNS, helps visitors to find your site. It acts as a contact list. Humans use domain names, like toplinepro.com, to find sites. Web browsers use internet protocol (IP) addresses, like 192.168.1.1. DNS converts domain names to IP addresses so browsers can load sites.
Read on to learn how to add another DNS record to your site.
1. On your GoDaddy Domain Manager, click on the name of the domain you want to access.
2. Scroll down to "Additional Settings" and click on "Manage DNS"
3. Now you can access all of your DNS records! Click on "Add" to create a new one.
4. Select "A" from the dropdown menu for Type.
5. Type "@" for the Name and type "185.199.108.153" for the Value.
6. Leave TTL as Default and click "Add record"
7. Click "Add" again. You will add 5 DNS records in total.
8. Keep the Type and Name the same. Enter "185.199.109.153" as the Value and click "Add record."
9. Click "Add" again.
10. Keep the Type and Name the same. Enter "185.199.110.153" as the Value and click "Add record"
11. Click on "Add"
12. Keep the Type and Name the same. Enter "185.199.111.153" as the Value and click "Add record"
13. Click on "Add" for the final DNS record.
14. This time, select "CNAME" from the dropdown menu for type. Type "www" for name and "hellodwelling.github.io." for value. Click "Add Record" to confirm.
