How to Edit DNS Records in Namecheap

Domain Name System, or DNS, helps visitors to find your site. It acts as a contact list. Humans use domain names, like toplinepro.com, to find sites. Web browsers use internet protocol (IP) addresses, like 192.168.1.1. DNS converts domain names to IP addresses so browsers can load sites.

Read on to learn how to add another DNS record to your site.


1. On your Namecheap home page, click "Manage" next to the domain you want to access.

2. Click on "Advanced DNS"

3. Click on "Add new record" beneath all of your existing records.

4. Leave the "A Record," type "@" for the host, and type "185.199.108.153" for the IP address.
