How to Delete Your Google Business Profile

If you realize you have a duplicate Google Business Profile or want to create a new one from scratch, here's how to delete one.

1. Navigate to www.google.com, and search your company's name in the search bar. You can also search "my business".

2. Look for the Google Business Profile box in the search results. You may have to scroll down on the page to find it.

3. You should now see "Your business on Google" at the top of the Google search page, and your Google Business Profile on the right side of the screen.

Click on the three dot menu to the right of the "Customers" button.

4. Click on "Business Profile settings."

5. Click on "Remove Business Profile."

6. To fully deactivate the business profile and remove it from Google's results, click on "Remove profile content and managers."

7. Toggle off "Mark your business as permanently closed" unless you intend for your profile to show up in search results as permanently closed.

Click "Continue" and then confirm the deletion by clicking "remove" on the dialogue box that pops up.
