How to verify your Google Business Profile
How to access your Google Business Profile and verification options
Go to business.google.com/locations. If you are an owner or manager of a Google Business Profile, you will see it listed there.
β
If you don't see it, you may need to try logging into other emails that may be connected to the Google Business Profile. If you still don't see it, check with business partners, family members, or former marketing partners if they created the profile and have access to it.
β
If all else fails, you will need to create a new Google Business Profile.
Google Business Profile verification video best practices
Google requires many businesses to verify their legitimacy via a verification video. They are very protective of their customers and only want to show businesses they can validate are real. To do this they want to confirm that the business location is accurate, they provide the correct services, and they are an active and valid business. To make sure you get approved on the first video submission follow the below best practices when recording the video:
Start by gathering all of this before recording the video so everything is ready, and accessible, and the video is quick and easy to record.
Start outside, show the address, show your truck
Show the equipment in the truck
Show you have unique access to the truck and home (show it's locked and unlock it)
Finally, show paper information that has your business name and the address on it - this can be a bill, business card, business license, etc.
Keep the video short, about a minute. If you do all that you should be verified in a week. If you don't get verified, let us know and we can work with you on next steps.
